Villa Puri Sejuk is a truly magical and unique beachfront retreat set within a stunning rice field location. The villa is constructed of entirely organic materials, the first of its kind, and is a labour of love designed and created by its Italian owner, Kiko Croserio. Handcrafted with inspiration, the property was not built for business purposes; instead it is a genuine home and the realisation of a dream. Suitable for families, honeymooners or perhaps an artist or writer looking for tranquillity and inspiration, this serene fully air-conditioned 3-bedroom villa, can accommodate up to nine or ten people. A myriad of textures will greet you as you enter this intriguing oval shaped villa, where rustic innovation is blended with western comfort and quality. Puri Sejuk means ?Cool Palace?; the fresh sea breezes are cool and refreshing, and the property is undoubtedly cool in both senses of the word. Reminiscent of a boat and using nature\\\'s ready-made gifts, the organic villa is built around a robust bamboo framework designed by Austrian artist and architect, Wolfgang Widmoser, who was the architectural director in the creation of the skeletal bamboo Zeppelin sculpture known as ?Skyplace?, which graced Bali?s Gaya Gallery. Every structural element of the villa?s framework has been joined together using the methods of thousand-year-old Torajan bamboo craftsmanship. The walls of the property are constructed from moulded clay; the floors, columns and timber panelling from reddish-hued, Indonesian merbau wood; and the roof from traditional alang alang thatch. The funky design of the villa is timeless and exotic; in harmony with the environment and aesthetically beautiful. The attention to detail is remarkable; and every step that you take through the villa will reveal another surprise, such as an antique door, an ornate washbasin, a hidden alcove, or a highly decorative feature.

Location

Puri Sejuk is encompassed by nature within peaceful rural surroundings, it is nevertheless only thirty minutes drive from the fashionable shops, world class restaurants and vibrant nightspots of Seminyak, and about forty-five minutes’ drive from Bali’s International Airport. Most of the island?s main tourist attractions are within easy access. Pantai Seseh is a small traditional fishing Village with an ancient sea temple.
